10 Day Tour of Sri Lanka
DAY 01 – ARRIVAL / AIRPORT / COLOMBO SIGHTSEEING
Arrive by flight. Airport meet and greet. Transfer to the hotel in Colombo. Rest and relax. Open luncheon. Afterwards, commence sightseeing of the city of Colombo. Evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 02 – COLOMBO / SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS
After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya and check-in to the hotel. Lunch at hotel. Afterwards, climb the Sigiriya Rock fortress and see the 1500 year old frescoes. Continue to climb to the summit and see the Ruins and enjoy the cool breeze and the scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains. Evening descend and return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 03 – SIGIRIYA / POLONNARUWA / MINNERIYA SAFARI / SIGIRIYA
After breakfast, proceed to Polonnaruwa. Sightseeing of the Ancient historical Ruins of Polonnaruwa. Open lunheon. After lunch, proceed by Jeep to the Minneriya National Park and do a Jungle Safari. Evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 04 – SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA ROCK TEMPLE / MATALE / KANDY
After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Rock Temple and the famous Dambulla Caves and see many impressive Buddha Statues carved in living Rock. Thereafter, proceed to Kandy. Enroute visit a Spice Garden / have a Sri Lankan Rice & Curry Lunch at Ranweli Spice Garden. After lunch, continue to Kandy and check-in to the hotel. Evening visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Thereafter, see a Cultural Show of Folk Lore and Kandyan dances. Late evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 05 – KANDY / PINNAWALA ELEPHANTS / SHOPPING
After breakfast, proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and see feeding and bathing of baby Elephants. Lunch at Pinnalanda Restaurant overlooking the scenic river. After lunch, visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens. Thereafter, Shopping in Kandy for Souvenirs, Gems, Batiks, Handicrafts, curios, Silver, Brass wares and Garments. Late evening, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 06 – KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA / VISIT TEA PLANTATION & FACTORY
After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya driving through beautiful Tea capped Mountains. Enroute visit the Tea Factory and have Freshly Brewed Famous Ceylon Tea. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and check-in to the hotel. Evening take a walk in the cool fresh breeze of the Hill Country and through the Bazaar. Thereafter return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 07 – NUWARA ELIYA / KITULGALA / BENTOTA
After breakfast, proceed to Bentota via Kitulgala. Enroute see the 20th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka which is St Clair’s falls. Thereafter, see the 19th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka which is the Devon Water Falls. Lunch at Kitulgala Rest House. After lunch, spend the time at leisure in Kitulgala or do white water rafting. Thereafter, continue to Bentota and check-in to the hotel for overnight stay
DAY 08 & 09 – FULL DAY AT LEISURE ON THE BEACH
After breakfast, full day at leisure on the beach or pool. Overnight stay at Hotel.
DAY 10 – BENTOTA / AIRPORT / DEPARTURE
After breakfast, at leisure. Lunch at Hotel. After lunch, proceed to Airport for the departure flight.
