15 Day Tour of Sri Lanka
DAY 01 – ARRIVAL / AIRPORT / COLOMBO SIGHTSEEING
Arrive by flight. Airport meet and greet and transfer to the hotel in Colombo. Rest and relax. Open luncheon. Afterwards, commence sightseeing of the city of Colombo. Evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 02 – COLOMBO / ANURADHAPURA SIGHTSEEING
After early breakfast, proceed to Anuradhapura and check-in the Palm hotel. Open luncheon. After lunch, Commence Sightseeing of the Historical & Archeological ruins of Anuradhapura, the first Capital City of Sri Lanka. Finally, late evening return to the hotel for your overnight stay.
DAY 03 – ANURADHAPURA / POLONNARUWA SIGHTSEEING / SIGIRIYA
After breakfast, proceed to Polonnaruwa. Sightseeing of the Ancient historical Ruins of Polonnaruwa. Open lunheon. Afterwards, proceed to Sigiriya and check-in to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 04 – VILLAGE SAFARI / CLIMB SIGIRIYA ROCK FORTRESS
After breakfast, visit Hiriwadunna village, a beautiful rural area in Habarana city. Tour start with a Bullock cart ride near to the village pond. Also experience a boat ride through a rural village. Afterwards, a short walk through the paddy fields & vegetable cultivation you can reach a village house. At the village house you can relax & taste a delicious Sri Lankan Lunch. Afterwards, climb the Sigiriya Rock fortress and see the 1500 year old frescoes. Continue to climb to the summit and see the Ruins and enjoy the cool breeze and the scenic beauty of the surrounding mountains. Finally, in the evening descend and return to the hotel for your overnight stay.
DAY 05 – SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA ROCK TEMPLE / MATALE / KANDY
After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Rock Temple and the famous Dambulla Caves. Here you can see many impressive Buddha Statues carved in living Rock. Afterwards, proceed to Kandy. Enroute, visit a Spice Garden and have a Sri Lankan Rice & Curry Lunch at Ranweli Spice Garden. After lunch, continue to Kandy and check-in to the hotel. Evening visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Finally, see a Cultural Show of Folk Lore and Kandyan dances. In conclusion, late evening return to the hotel for your overnight stay.
DAY 06 – KANDY / PINNAWALA ELEPHANTS / SHOPPING
After breakfast, proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and see feeding and bathing of baby Elephants. Lunch at Pinnalanda Restaurant overlooking the scenic river. Afterwards, visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens. Then followed by shopping in Kandy for Souvenirs, Gems, Batiks, Handicrafts, curios, Silver, Brass wares and Garments. In conclusion, late evening, return to the hotel for your overnight stay.
DAY 07 – KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA / VISIT TEA PLANTATION & FACTORY
After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya driving through beautiful Tea capped Mountains. Enroute visit the Tea Factory and have Freshly Brewed Famous Ceylon Tea. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and check-in to the hotel. Evening take a walk in the cool fresh breeze of the Hill Country and through the Bazaar. Finally, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 08 – NUWARA ELIYA / ELLA / TISSAMAHARAMA / YALA SAFARI
After an early breakfast proceed to Tissamaharama. Enroute, see the Ravana Ella waterfalls. Continue to Tissamaharama and check-in to the hotel. Lunch at hotel. Afterwards, proceed by Jeep to the Yala National Park and do a Jungle Safari. In conclusion, in the evening return to the hotel for your overnight stay.
DAY 09 – TISSAMAHARAMA / STILT FISHING AT KOGGALA / GALLE
After breakfast proceed to Galle through southern coastal beach. Enroute see Lace making at Weligama and Stilt Fishing in Koggala. Open luncheon. After lunch, Continue to Galle and check-in to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 10 – GALLE SIGHTSEEING / AMBALANGODA / BENTOTA
After breakfast, start your sightseeing tour of Galle. Visit the 17th Century Galle Dutch Fort and see the ancient buildings, Old Dutch Churches, Gracious Old Dutch houses, The Light House and Ramparts. Open luncheon. Afterwards, proceed to Bentota. Enroute visit the Moonstone Mines and Mask Factory. Then afterwards do a Madu River Boat Safari. Finally late evening, continue to Bentota and check-in to the hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 11 TO 14 – FULL DAY AT LEISURE ON THE BEACH
After breakfast, full day at leisure on the beach or pool. Overnight stay at Hotel.
DAY 15 – BENTOTA / AIRPORT / DEPARTURE
After breakfast, at leisure. Lunch at Hotel. After lunch, proceed to Airport for the departure flight.
